I just installed a new hard drive along with the software v2.08. I was previously running 2.02. Everything seemed to go well except when I tested it by loading in a track to listen to.. there is a static noise on the playback.

Anyone know where this is coming from.. or better.. a solution ?

Anyone got any suggestions. I follow the instructions to the letter, download zip file, unzip and burn it to a blank CD, and it just reboots to the normal screen. It does not recognise the CD in the Plextor I have version 1.4 on it from new. I have tried several makes of blank CD,s. Any thoughts on this.

1. Can I upgrade my VF-16 (currently I've 1.04) only through a SCSI drive? And what is the 'Plextor'? Just an external CD-ROM drive by Plextor?

2. If I want to totally clean my HDD by formatting it, how do I do that?

I recently acquired a VF-16 from a friend and I was wondering if there are other options for upgrading firmware other then SCSI? Like MIDI for example. I don't have a external SCSI device at the moment.

I believe I have done it correctly by downloading the ZIP-file, extracting it, burning it on a CD and then Load Program to retrieve it from the Plexor?

Any ideas?
